Rory & Brittany {April 23, 2011}

Brittany and Rorys wedding was super fun to photograph. Brittany was such a gorgeous bride and we got to photograph at a beautiful location. I could have had these two in front of the camera for hours longer! Such a great couple!

Klok Family

Here's another long overdue post of the Klok family taken on a beautiful day in the fall just before all the leaves blew away! We got extremely lucky with this one. The MD park was just filled with beautiful fall colors!

The boys had to get their photo taken by the tree with the face!

Dunn Family

This post is long overdue! The Dunn family booked for a beautiful snow family portrait in January. Unfortunately the weather that day was, well... a blizzard....but grandma had to leave back home the next day so we made some last minute arrangements to take photos at the local E-Free church. The church has a gorgeous full wall library in the foyer which made for a unique background which worked for us well. The family was so much fun to be around! So, here they are, a couple months late....!

Macro Photography

This past Wednesday was another monthly Photography Club meeting. We experimented with some macro photography. I love macro photography. In fact, it's how I started out on my journey as a photographer, back when I first found my passion in photography back in 2007. I love macro because you can photograph anything, anywhere, anytime. It's all around you. I love the different perspective macro photography gives to the world. It makes you really look at the things around you and shows how beautiful and unique and intricate nature and the world around you can be. It also sometimes allows you to see things you normally could not with the naked eye. I find it amazing.

"I really believe there are things no one would see if I never photographed them." -Diane Arbus
This quote was a huge inspiration in the beginning of the journey in finding my passion of photography.

One of my favorite macro photographers is Pat Kavanagh. You can check out some of his amazing photos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/the_kav/sets/72157624735122105/

It is just amazing some of the photos of insects that he captures! The detail is absolutely amazing!
